Secure Disk Wipe/Clone Device

In today’s world, private companies and governmental organizations use many HDDs and SSDs as data storage devices. These disks are found in various places including employee desktops, workstations and enterprise systems. Copying the disks’ data (i.e., cloning) and securely erasing the disks’ data (i.e., wiping) are two key operations that are widely required in every organization.

Disks are frequently migrated from one user to another or replaced by newer models. All of these replacements pose a security risk, because such disks hold possibly important company data. Wiping the disks securely is a must in such situations. Cloning a disk before replacement, or making multiple exact replcas are also examples of requiring disk cloning.

To address such demands, HPDS has designed a device that enables (1) wiping up 8 SATA/SAS disks securely, (2) cloning the data of a single disk on up to 7 other disks. Our easy-to-use graphical user interface and large 13 inch touch-screen LCD make using our platform very comfortable. Furthermore, our device show selected S.M.A.R.T information (e.g., disk model, serial number, and number of hours used).
